I paint because it fulfills a need in me to creat some thing that has touched my heart in such a way that I want to share with others. I look for something unique or interesting in the facesof people or maybe in their smile or something in their eyes that captures their personaility. I love to paint children at play or in an unexpected moment of their mood or posture.
I enjoy taking pictures of old buildings mostly...trying to capture them and their history before they are gone completely. I prefer black and white film because it is a dying art form with the advances in digital photography. Plus I love the whole process of shooting, developing and printing my own photos.
I have recently ventured into collage and mixed media work. It has been a learning experience that I am enjoying very much.
